Why does Facebook think I know lots of Russian prostitutes?

I have started using Facebook for some marketing stuff. Which seems to have been an invitation to them to suggest people that I may know.

It seems, though, that it thinks my friendship group is exclusively female, Russian and (probably) engaged in sex work.

I do find it quite amusing, and having "Vittoria Subjunctiva" pop up in her lingerie is infinitely preferable to Gary Jones from Coventry, who works at Screwfix, wearing full PPE. But I am intrigued as to why it's happening.

I do knowingly have a Russian lady saved in my phone. I met her in Italy, in a restaurant, and she gave me a free Italian lesson for an hour. She seemed to have sought me out for some reason, which struck me as odd, but chatting in Italian aside nothing happened.

So, why are my friend suggestions like this?

Weird, after the last time I used a Russian prostitute, all I got on my feeds was Gary Jones from Coventry Screwfix in all his ppe glory; now, I appreciate a Class 3 hi viz as much as the next man but still…

I know that there's an obvious reply to the OP about what he looks at on-line but as an attempt to be helpful, my Facebook went through a phase a few weeks ago where I was constantly given similar suggestions (but not Russian). I've also been through a phase of getting suggestions about dog breeds (don't titter) and also for a few days it was all about very cheap property rentals (in the USA).

I clicked the "X" on loads of them but to do them all would have been endless. In the end they dried up.
