A safe space to call out the Emperor s new clothes

Most threads on here highlight quite a difference of opinion with people on what folks think is acceptable behaviour in society.
I get we’re forever evolving but where do we draw the line at what’s acceptable to disrupt others because of a need to be seen to be tolerant.
I don’t like the way politics/society is going, but I think I understand it, “whatabouism” means folk always seem to try & find someone who’s adversely affected by the other’s actions & call them out for it, meaning nearly everything these days is soft touch, you can begin to understand why folks offering what appears to be a common sense attitude get support even if you don’t like it.
Thought I’d try a thread where folks can safely say “wait a minute that’s fkn stupid”. I’ll start with this one.
Visited a shopping centre last weekend & needed to use the facilities- could not dry my hands because….
There was no had towell dispenser
I’m not going to mock folks wearing headphones to help go about their daily lives, or look down on them for nipping into either the disabled toilets or the “family space” (think thats a renamed baby change) that were both alternative options. But why some inclusion officer or such deems it necessary to prevent hand drying for two hours on a Sunday is beyond me.
(No effort was made to silence the reversing sensor on a women’s mobility scooter who was doing a good impersonation of the Austin Powers 3pt turn & we didn’t have folk cowering in fear)

That wasn’t mocking folk who had issues with noise.
It wasn’t really mocking someone in a scooter either
If I’d said something along the lines of
“I’m not sure which of the disability cards was top Trump, the ones not capable of dealing with noise
or
the ones not capable of being quiet” maybe….

I occasionally help out with the local autism group, this particular group is a social group.
I've taken small groups, 2 - 3 guys, to local museums that advertise quiet periods, usually a good experience for these guys who have serious problems that fall within the spectrum. The museums we visit make very sure that its quiet and will do there best with other requests, such as dimming the lighting.
One notable exception was the tank museum ay Bovvy. Perhaps someone could explain to the staff what quiet time actually means. A two hour drive, half an hour in the museum, then we had to leave because of the noise, mostly from the staff, another two hour drive home.
Having seen how some of these deeply troubled people enjoy the, be it short, experience, I'm very grateful that these places make the effort.
