Launching threads is a lonely business. It's just you versus the whims of others you may never meet. Some (threads, not people you may never meet) take off, some founder never to be visited again.

However, in the case of obstropolous, the seventh (7th) post said it was coined in the seventeenth (17th) century.
We'll struggle on for a bit and see how it goes.
