Kids electric Ford Ranger ride on not reversing

Slightly car related. Kids have got one of these, it won’t go into reverse off the switch in the car. Will still go backwards off the remote control.

Anyone got one, had this problem, and found it to be an incredibly easy fix?

Test the switch, check the wires from it
