Just seen an ad for the 'Volvic Challenge'....seems to be you drink water for 14 days, not really much of a challenge. Anyway;

Day 1 - guy seems relatively straight
Day 7 - guy refers to a 'cheeky' Volvic...touch of the gay creeping in here.
Day 14 - camper than a row of tents

What do they put in the stuff?!?!

What they didn't tell you in the ad was that it was originally going to be a 28 day health program but the poor bugger in their advert turned into this...

They reduced it to 14 days as a safety precaution.

I have a friend who's gay and plays softball, rather like the chap in the advert. I'll ask my friend how long he's been drinking Volvic!

Tesco have got it on special at the moment, 18ltrs of it for a fiver I think it is. I got some on the weekend, its the only mineral water I'll drink. Evian tastes like sewer water.

Anyway, I drink the stuff by the gallon and I havent noticed any ill-effects.....

...dahlings.

This has got to be the most contrived bullst I have heard since whatever ste that foul poo fiddling fraud Gillian McKeith was blathering on about last time we heard from her.

Drinking vast amounts of water does fk all (I will say again fk All) for your health. It does not improve metabolism, it does not improve kidney function, it does not improve your electolyte balance, it does not make you better at sport.

What it does do is mark you out as a moron who will believe any old ste that the telly tells you.
It also makes you broke (drink fking tap water if you have to) and makes you piss a lot.

Drinking vast amounts of water has absolutely no health benefits over and obove drinking a litre of fluid per day. None.

It's about as much bullst as that stuff they put in yoghurts that promote healthy gut bacteria - that's a load of old st too.

Marketing on bottled water has always been the biggest load of bullst going. Yet the masses can't get enough of 'posh' water...

Hmmmm.

Lager - Diuretic and approximately 200 calories a pint, so approximately 352 calories a litre.

Water - Zero calories.

Personally I'd say that water has a few health benefits.

Well yes - in the same way a litre of Volvic is better for you than a litre of Domestos. Water has greater health benefits than booze - I wasn't disputing that.

What I do dispute is the bullst that mineral water companies put about that if you drink 3 litres of their vastly overpriced product that it has some health benefits. Because it doesn't.

Drinking 3 litres of Volvic has absolutely no health benefits over drinking a litre of tap water. Or over drinking three cups of tea, some milk, some sqauash and some juice.

Drinking huge amounts of water does fk all for your kidneys, liver, skin, or 'general vitality' it's just bullst to shift bottled water. You only need to drink a lot of fluid if you are losing a lot of fluid.
Drinking a lot of unneeded water is actually pretty dangerous - see Leah Betts.

Cripes, you REALLY hate water don't you !

My skin is better after a weekend on the lash, I've always put it down to all the water in scrummy lager drinks.

It's not true in London, I can assure you! Probably true in Wales and Scotland, though.
