What to be aware of when buying an Evora IPS
Discussion
Hey all,
I'll be in the market for an Evora soon (hopefully), budget could range from £30k to £40k'ish. I am particularly looking for an IPS, my Cayman is manual and to be honest I sometimes wish I'd gone PDK.
So, in short, what should I look out for? I've been checking online a lot recently and I appreciate IPS are very rare, some very early ones will be in my lower price bracket, and some nicer 2014 ones appear around £40k. For another couple of "K", I have seen the Mk2 (400?) come up, which I admit would be the ultimate for me as I love the styling.
This car will be my daily, as I've wanted one for a long time, and also due to my age and SWMBO age it's likely to be the last Sports Car I buy and I'll likely be keeping until I can't get in it any more!
So, please hit me up with your thoughts, what to look for, Pros & Cons etc (I've read the PH buyers guide), is there anything else beyond what's in there that I need to consider?
One concern I've heard of is a wiring loom issue on the IPS which causes the car to randomly drop in to neutral, is this common or so rare as to not be a concern as I suspect it would be a very expensive fix?
Thanks all

In fact, there is nothing to be aware on the IPS. It is not the quickest, but it works. Depending what you want to use it for. I passed now 150'000 KM with my Evory S from 2013 and never had any issues on the IPS. What can cause "electric" problems, are borken seals on electronic components such as plugs.
But for dayli drigving the IPS is good. As long as you service the Evora accordingly, I dont see any issues.
