Just watched my girlfriends DVD of this crazy film. We were wondering what kind of car he was driving with his gang near the beginning. Any ideas anyone?

A complete guess, but it looks similar to a Ferarri P4 replica thats been advertised recently. Not that I've ever seen one in the flesh, so to speak, so don't put any money on it Bonce!

It was actually the Probe 16 designed by Dennis Adams (stylist of Marcos coupe fame) which was so low at just 34" that entry was via the roof panel which slid back - providing rather impractical rear seating for Alex's droogs.

Only 3 of them were made, though a less radical modified version was produced as the Imp based Centaur kit car mentioned by Spydaman.

It was also produced in somewhat larger numbers as a Corgi toy - which I used to have many years ago. Ah, memories...

34 inches... blimey! So it is almost plausible that they could have driven under the trailer of an articulated lorry for real...
