Hey guys,

I am looking to go on a euro road trip next summer and was wondering if anyone could recommend any annual euro trip events? Or any other things happening that would involve driving through awesome roads in europe with a load of people and having fun smile, except from the obvious le mans etc.

I know I'm rather early this year, but I am very keen to organise everything with enough time this year as I left everything too late last year frown.

Cheers for the replies in advance!

Nurburgring 24 hour race is a good event and nice roads round there too.

Go to www.petrolheadnirvana.com they run European hoons for PH and many others. Not expensive and a great bunch of guys. They organise some free hoons around the UK and you can catch up with them the first Monday of each monthy at the Ace cafe in Park Royal from 7pm - 11pm.

Darren

A mate & myself were talking about doing a 'euro trip'sometime. We'd had a few shandy's & thought about buying a car between us for no more than £100 & seeing how far into europe we could go before it broke down. Mates partner said, 'Go for it, you'll be back home the next day'.

Get overnight boat to Bilbao/Santander
2 days driving through the Pyrenees
Barcelona
Drive to Monaco
Drive to Modena
Night in Italian lakes
Gavia Pass/Stelvio Pass
Mulhouse - full day at Schlumpf Museum
Drive to Nurburgring
Last night in Gent/Bruges/Amsterdam depending on boat home

Add extra nights here and there.
Can you go when one of the mainland European GPs are on?
Part of the fun is doing your own research to find hotels to stay in.
Make sure your euro cover for the car covers getting you/your car home and/or pays for a hire car to complete your holiday through several countries*

This* is the voice of experience

This definitely was the type of thing I am interested in, however, none of my friends are that enthused by cars/or dont have the money that they would want to take a euro trip, which is why I was looking for a group of people to go with, rather than on my larry smile.

'Circuit days' do organised roadtrips, i've organised a trip for a group of friends for the last 2 years and the price looks pretty good, also, some very nice machinery already booked for next year i see...

I'm thinking of doing something like this next year too.

I'm considering a few ferry crossing, I'm so far not sure on which to go for. I live near Bournemouth so Poole, Weymouth and Portsmouth are a lot easier than Dover. I'm thinking of either Poole - Cherbourg or Portsmouth - St. Malo or Dover - Calais. Then my route would consist of:

Tour of the south of France, including Nice etc.
Continue onto Monaco
Then enter Italy and visit Milano, Parma, Modena and Bologne.

Then I'm a bit stuck, I don't know which is the best way to get home! It's a long drive back and I don't know the best way to go.

Also, how long should I allow for a trip like this? I don't want to be driving constantly and I would like some time to look round each area.

For the very cheap options you could look at a banger rally.

Ramshackle Rally Stelvio Pass etc.

or

Motoscape Rally
