Very odd attachment at the lifting end.

I have a Halfords jack which is probably about 10-15 years old which has been totally reliable for everything from my dailies to the Mustang and is till in great shape. Cost me about a tenner I think.

I would imagine (with it being Lidl) it will be TUV approved, which should mean it'll be perfectly safe to use.

Edit; just realised the post code is for the store, not your house... as you were smile!

IIRC Lidl and Aldi jacks and axle stands are normally German made and pass their quality standards which are higher than those of the UK - hence I bought Lidl axle stands last time they were on offer and they appear to be good solid kit so far!

I would hope you use axle stands with any hydraulic jack, be it a £14.99 Lidl one or a £149.99 professional one, at least with the Lidl one you can easily afford to have two, chances of both failing are pretty slim!

Personally I always stick a big chunk of wood under a car anyway and if I'm going under it then it has a few big chunks of wood under and some ramps/axle stands!!

Got to be worth £15. I like the way the handle can turn to 90 degrees for jacking up in the garage! Not that I advocate 'jacking up' in your garage you understand! wink

If they're the same as the ones I bought from there those winter overalls are a godsend.

I've had one of these jacks for years! As mentioned, TUV approved, no problems whatsoever.

typical. Was going to pick a couple of these up. But they don't appear now for my local lidl!
