Mrs Ice wants car!
Discussion
Hello All,
Pretty frosty out there! Drive carefully.
Anyway, after a week of umming and ar-ing, we have decided to get Mrs Ice a new motor, well not brand new!
So the car she wants is a MB CLK 2002-2009 vintage.
As this will be our main car (C70-T5 auto too thirsty) we need to get a diesel.
Our budget is £7-8K which means that the 270cdi is what is in our price range. Probably 2003-2004 with 80-120k on the clock.
So what are everyones experience of the 5-pot MB diesel. The reviews all say that it is not very refined but goes well?
Will it average 35+mpg?
Anyway, it means I get the convertible T5 auto to boot around in, that will get the RICA/BSR/MTE treatment in the new year!!
IceBoy
PS. I would prefer the 220cdi as I thought it would be more economical but all the website show the 270 & 220 cdi averaging 40mpg ?????
