I've got some Powerflex ones on the Marcos front suspension and steering rack - transformed the steering feel!

The research I did into this suggests that stuff made in Aus is the best gear, purely because they invented it and have been doing it for far longer than the UK and European manufacturers. It seems that recipe and design are critical for NVH and handling - it's no use copying the rubber bush out of Poly as the material typically requires a different shape to work.

I went for Superpro which have been excellent.

Rallydesign are very good and do different levels of stiffness. They are good value compared to Powerflex. What car is it for?

Another vote for Superpro here. Had them fitted a couple of years ago and they really made a difference to the car, making it feel newer and tighter all round. No worries about noise or anything like that either.

If you're anywhere near Nottingham then I had mine done at 5 Speed.

Your old rubber bushes will no doubt be shot to bits. I ended up part drilling/part pressing mine out. TIme consuming but by no means impossible providing you have a good bench vice and a 3 jaw puller (or pusher, in that set up)
Getting the new ones in is a hoot. You line up all the bits, use the 3 jaw pusher again with washers or something to distribute the load across the new polybush. Then you tighten it and tighten it until it all goes lop-sided and the bush and washers spring everywhere. THen you stack t all back up and do it again... and again.... and agian until suddenly you get a nice straight push on it and the poly bush just "pops" into the arm. THen it's just a case of seating it right which isn't hard with a puller, you just get both flanges to sit right either side of the arm, then slide the steel insert through and bobs your uncle.

I paid £20 for 3 bushes to be removed first time. Then i did the other 3 myself and thought £20 was a fair price but it wasn't impossible to do myself. I put all the bushes in myself and it was reall easy, Tbh. Did them in a coupe of hours a side for the car (albeit a simple old suspension design).

Whatever bushes you do go for, make sure they are supplied with lube and stainless steel inserts. I've heard horror stories of mild steel inserts rusting solid within a year and then being pigs to replace. Stainless ones should last forever.
A great upgrade for any car, IMO. Made my MR2 feel like new, and I've now gor a set for the 328i to freshen it up.

You've clearly done it before. I didn't have a 3 jaw puller so on getting them out you forgot to mention fire. Both heating them up with a blowtorch and covering them in lighter fluid to burn them out. I thought a blowtorch to expand the metal around the bushes, yeah it didn't work so them got frustrated and tried to burn the feckers out. That sort of worked.

Honestly unless you have a 3 ton press DO NOT GET THEM OUT YOURSELF!!! 20 quid to a garage is the best 20 quid you will ever spend.

That's 8 hours of my life I'll never get back laugh
