I'd love this, and it's the year I was born!

Too pricey? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2156229.htm

Space frame mini? sure it will be fast but how will that contraption ever gain in value? Must be a fun motor though.

I'm astounded anyone would even think of paying over £20 grand for one of those. Granted they're cool/retro/blah blah blah.

But £20,000. Seriously?! Bloody hell!!

What's the cheapest out there??

Cheers

Genuine Coopers have rocketed in value over the last 10 years. Even the latest ones - up to 2001 - go for at least £8,000 now. £20,000 for a Mk1 doesn't surprise me at all.

There are loads of "replicas" out there, though. You can buy a Mini in the same spec (probably better spec actually) as a genuine Cooper for far less.
