Car Smells of Paint??
Discussion
Collected the missus car after getting it MOT'd a few days ago and got a smell of paint\solvent everytime I get in the car which I dismissed on the first day as I got in it, however this smell has now gone on for a few days. The car didn't require any major work, only a new rear tire and the handbreak adjusting.
Would anything they do as part of a normal MOT cause this smell?
I am now getting a bit paranoid that they have possibly bumped\scratched it and resprayed it. They only had the car for about a day and a half so I'm not sure if this would be enough time to do this and I can't see any visible respray with my admittedly untrained eye.
Any ideas?

Maybe Jason Plato did a quick review of your car and started pulling bits of interior trim off? The garage then would have needed to hastily glue it all back together.

Do you mean to tell me that it could have been "touched" by Jason Plato? Wow, the missus will be pleased. Do you think he sat in it? Maybe that would explain the smell of solvent. Do racing car drivers smell of solvent\paint?hth
On a serious note I think I will be having a word with the garage tomorrow. As stated I can't see anything obvious, perhaps it was sat near their paint shop as suggested by butlamb.
