Women driving in the snow
Discussion
Seriously, do they not understand they their driving style needs to change? Slow down, take corners/bends more carefully, extend braking distances and maybe not tailgate?
I've seen loads happily razzing along in their MPV's with kids in tow with apparently no comprehension of any danger that the change in weather may present. Skidding, sliding, wheel spinning, crashing - c'mon ladies you wonder why there is a stigma attached to the Female driver....

What's much more worrying is the number of male drivers going out for a drive to 'play' on the snow covered roads. They are taking pointless journeys and putting all other road users at risk. They have no more skills than any one else unless they spend most of their time in winter in Finland. At least the females in SUVs with kids are doing journeys that have to be done.
Even worse is the number of people who think they know better than anyone else. Far be it for me to defend the skool-run-mumz and their chelsea tractos sliding around the place, but easily the worst driving I've seen has been from overconfident tosspot men in their german repmobiles, who may well be in perfect control of their barges but make no allowances and have no tolerance for people in lesser cars and with lesser skill.

Well one might argue that going out for a pleasure drive in the snow is probally the only way to gain those skills. Obviously recklessly arsing around in inappropriate places is not to be condoned but finding somewhere to explore how ones car will behave in unusual road conditions can be beneficial when it is necessary to make a journey in the snow.Doniger said:
