Ive had my mantis advertised for sale on PH for a couple of months now and have been contacted by a few dealers who want to sell it for me for a commission - NO THANKS!

Just received an e-mail enquiring whether it is still for sale from a potential purchaser, who has seen an identical car, the same colour, same spec advertised on a well known sportscar dealers web site, and was enquiring as to whether or not I had sold it or asked the dealer to sell it on my behalf.

A quick visit to the site and lo and behold it is my car - CHEEK!

The picture has been lifted off of the PH advertisement

Umm.. isn't Ted syndicating the advertising service out such that PH advertised cars get extra coverage elsewhere or something? :shrugshoulders:

That's a bit naughty. I saw it on there a couple of weeks ago, but just assumed he was selling it on your behalf. I'd be interested to hear his explanation...

Im contemplating what to do about it!

They phoned me about a month ago offering to sell it for me as an 'agent' and posted me details and a sample agreement form to complete and sign - they wanted 10%!!
yeah right!

I wonder how many of the cars advertised on their web site they have actually got!

Im 100% sure mine is still in my garage and not on their forecourt!

I do have a facility for syndicating content onto enthusiast sites and another for management of dealer stock but that's nothing to do with this incident.

Well I visited him about a year ago and he had about 8 cars in his showroom, which was all he could fit in. To be honest I assumed the rest of the cars on his website were for sale on behalf of owners, and still in the possesion of the owners.

I must stop all this 'assuming' malarkey.....

Have you spoken to Interporsche yet?

Marcos Maniac,

I would do what you said in an earlier post...

then when they come to you saying... we have people interested in your car... then just say.. "Well buy if off me then!!".

You sell your car.
They have an evaporating bunch of interested parties.

Justice is served.

Well? Spill the beans.

It's still on their site, but is apparently sold?

I DONT BELIEVE IT.

They have got some front - that makes it look like they sold it

I got a buyer for it - private sale via Piston Heads, who is due to pick it up Friday afternoon

(subject to passing M.O.T tomorrow)
