Help Me - PLEASE!!

Being a poorly paid slave to the facist government in this country (ok that was probably a bit OTT but you get the idea!) when I bought a replacement car recently all I could afford was a '97 Astra Sport. Sadly the damn thing is missing the owners manual. Being the afforementioned cheap-skate that I am, I'm trying get hold of a copy to download off the web, but have so far drawn a blank with my search

With my legendary patience wearing thin I thought I'd ask the experts (you've gotta love that flattery!), to see if anyone can point me in the direction of a site that will contain what I'm looking for, preferably for free?

Does it have to be the owners manual?

You can get the haynes manuals from the library for free, if thats any help.

Haines will probably do a workshop manual for it. Much more use than the handbook IMO

I'd prefer to get hold of a copy of any manual that I can keep, so it doesn't need to be original owners manual. Haynes would be cool, especially if there's some sort of download on the site. If I wasn't such a lazy a*se I'd have looked on their site by now!!

You can't download a Haynes manual from their site - if you could they wouldn't sell many. You could borrow one for free from the library as suggested and then take it back - of course you shouldn't leave it in close proximity to a photocopier when it's in you possession.

Did you buy it (the car) from a Vauxhall dealer????? If so they might be able to get/give you one.

Whats the exact model of car, engine size etc. Ive got and had a few Vauxhalls a couple of Astras etc and the sales manager at my vauxhall dealer loves me 1997 is a P reg isnt it?

We used to stock virtually all workshop manuals, some were horrendously expensive, but your usual suspects were OK prices. Not sure if they still do them, but may be worth giving them a call. No website I'm afraid.
