I, personally, think that somebody over at GM has not been living up to thier employment contract. This is an artist's rendition of the next 'Vette. What do you lot think?

It's supposed to appear 2004/2005 - ish

Thats a vette? looks like a cross between a Fiat coupe and a Nissan 350Z...

Not bad looking, just not a vette.

Specifically, what I don't like is that it looks like it is smiling -> see the resemblance.

Corvettes need to look like they can fly (even if they can't!)

those sharp edges are stolen from the Miura! Looks very nice, then.

Shame it'll probably wallow in the corners like the typical expected owner

Looks like a 'vette from the back - but not from the front. Nice though.

Good that they've decided to save money by letting Fiat tool up for the front lights.

Have to agree, the front does not look like a 'vette.

I've always been a fan of the Vette. This looks really very nice indeed, especially in RHD (one can only hope). Any idea what the engine options will be?

Oh god, that looks like something you'd put a "powerful, responsive" 200bhp V6 in, not a bloody great thumper of a V8. They need to bring back a big block option for the vette, it all went downhill after the C3 IMHO.

The pic of the drop top looks great from the rear 3/4, but the front view of the coupe?

Im not sure about this, looks a lot like the RX8 with fiat coupe lights and a 350z grille...

Looks more european, but what the hell if we don't get it here anyway. Whatever.

this'll make the older models more sought after IMO, it's a nice car but you'd never guess it's pedigree...top of the screen too high, bonnet not curvy, lack of haunches, ugly lights, etc etc

All went down hill after the C3? The Vette still had it moments though - ZR-1 and the latest C5 ZO6 (keep thinking about one of those) being two that spring to mind. Can't beat the Stingray though, especially the split rear window coupe.

Pelo has got it right, its a nice looker but a 'vette has to look like its got a thumping great V8 up front, oozing muscle evrywhere.
