90's sitcom, help required!?
Discussion
does anyone remember a sitcom in the early to mid nieties with two guys in it who lived in a flat in london, one guy was tall, had light hair and the other guy was shorter and had dark curly hair....not a lot to go on I admit but it must ring some bells with someone. It was on BBC2 around 9pm.....and it wasnt Men Behaving Badly but had a similar comedy angle, anyone?
i remember that one, ther was this reall y funny episode where they recovered a massive chest from a sunken ship and spent hours trying to open the chest, the all got really excited a sthe chest was from some famous ship and they were expecting loads of treasure but when they opened it, there was another key inside, presuambly for another chest, i almost died laughing!.............i guess you had to see it!
From www.tv.cream.org (great site for this sort of thing, BTW):
TURTLE'S PROGRESS (1979)
ATV
SHORT-ARSED snivelling baldie Turtle (JOHN LANDRY) is the brains of a petty crime partnership, the other half being, huge, thuggish, Crombie-clad skinhead Razor Eddie (MICHAEL ATTWELL). One night they nick a Ford Transit, only to find (next day) that it is loaded with the booty from a daring deposit box robbery at a bank. Needless to say, the bankrobbers are neatly rounded up open-mouthed and bewildered as the police arrive; their getaway vehicle having vanished into thin air. Of course there are no links to Turtle and Eddie who are left in peaceful ignorance, and each episode was based on them opening a deposit box and an adventure sprang from the contents. Their deeds might have been Quixotic, but by now unmemorable.
The stuff you can find on the internet never ceases to amaze me
