Hmm, simply enough, everyone knew about the expansion ages ago, can't honestly see why he's complaining, house may be cheaper, got a nice mazza though.

Every time I see him (on tv) I'm reminded about janet street-porter and media manipulation.
Guess he's an alright guy in the flesh just lacking a little, dunno something.

Where's he live...
I'll drive up and down his street, he will soon forget about the extra noise from the planes as he won't be able to hear them.

Bit harsh, chaps? Didn't he grow up near there, and I think his parents still live out that way?

Stansted as it is at present fits into the area quite unobtrusively, but one of the options is to expand it by two or three extra runways, plus all the infrastructure needed to support that - new roads, rail links, whole new towns to accommodate the extra staff etc. It'd end up being bigger than Heathrow. Problem is, the bit of Essex east of Stansted is actually rather lovely, high grade agricultural land with small villages. Would be a huge pity to desecrate it and I can quite see why those who live there are up in arms. There must surely be grottier bits of this country which could be used for a new large airport. Don't think Cliffe is a great option either.

Even though I've always taken the sensible option when his program has come on, namely change the channel, I can picture him finger-tip-designing the food on the plate like a spotty teen applying wads gel in a vain attempt at spiking his hair.

"I say, fingers out of my nosh good man!"
