It's a long and winding road...
Discussion
I've come home from a lovely night with my girlfriend, who lives in Glasgow, after I decided on the spur of the moment to go and see (for those who cant work it out - I live in Cardiff).
Now the thing was it that I had a standard Tranny (no jokes Carzee) to do the drive in. I worked it all out and I figured I could just make the trip on two tanks, and in six hours if I didn't get held up.
Now I've never done a really long trip (x2) like that, but it is kind of humbling when you cant go any faster than 80 (85 on downhill if yer lucky), so therefore you can't speed and you just have to basicly steer.
Now for most of the time it is enjoyable moving in and out of the inner lane with the help of lorry drivers - you feel almost a little misty eyed when they flash you in. BUT WHY MUST MIDDLE LANE NUMPTIES NOT LET ME OUT WHEN THEY CAN MOVE OVER INTO THE OUTSIDE LANE!!!! Surely they can see I don't want to lift off, thereby conserving what little momentum I have gained. Then, once they go past, they slow down so I have to take to the outside lane to overtake them again - slowing down all the faster guys in the outside lane...
Why cant people be taught how keep up with the flow on motorways? The other annoying thing is people who brake for no real reason - thereby the person a mile up the road who slowed a little sets off a concertina effect - which means by the time it gets to me I have to virtually stop in the outside lane??? WHY???
And why is it that sods law means that as soon as I get in the bloody thing the radio stops working?
And I didn't see any of you guys...the best thing I got to see was Celica...euch...
And god did I ever wish I had a Mercedes Sprinter, how fast are those vans!!!
Phew thats better...

I tried catching the back of one or two for the draft effect, but they were way too quick.
One I saw must have been doing 100, and it was a high top!!!
