Having an Internatinal licence will not negate you from points on your domestic one. Showing an international licence to a court will only have them peruse the computer record attached to the prosecution file of your domestic licence records supplied by DVLA.

Any points will then be awarded to your domestic licence in its absence by the court. You may even be adjourned for you to appear with your domestic licence for sentencing.

If you have no domestic licence, then a record is made up for you and is referred to as a skeleton licence and is for Police and Court reference in the event of you coming to notice through driving offences.

Thanks MC - thought just as much. Just been googling and it's amazing the claims they have on some of their websites!
