A friend bought one of these and loves it, I've been in it a few times and the word that comes to mind is 'Chuckable' not in an ugly bird sense but in the way you can throw it into corners. It really is great fun (actually a bit like an ungly bird, some would say they try a bit harder).

The other thing it shares with an ugly bird is the fact that it is ugly.

Oh dear I'll get my coat.

I've got an S and I love it, aside from the lack of a back seat. Great fun - doesn't seem that quick but that is probably down to the linear power delivery. Handles superbly as well - you can drift the car at some absolutely absurd angles.

Saw in Evo that Coopers are providing a Works upgrade anfd I/m thinking very seriously of getting it.

My girlfriends S arrives on the 20th of January hopefully, we’re both looking forward to it, when we test-drove it we had a real laugh, it was so much better than the standard cooper.

When we went to john cooper’s in the summer his son was telling us the S works kit was being tested by BMW very soon, this means it won’t effect the warrantee either which is good, the only down side is the price, last time I heard it was around £3k.

Got a Mini Cooper S Convertable on order to replace my Lexus as the everyday commute car - figured I could then get the TVR I've always lusted after as my 'fun' car

Recently read that Hartage (I think) have just released an upgrade on the S taking power up to 200bhp! Not sure how the tires cope, but 200bhp in a small car sounds fun to me.
