insofar as consumerism is the new religion, it's spot on.

Religion is on the decline and for those aetheists and agnostics who don't make an intellectual effort to define their own morality and identity, consumerism is one of the things that has filled the void.

Did you hear about the dysleic, atheist, insomniac?

He stayed awake at night, wondering about the dog.

I know this is pedants corner, but if he was an atheist he wouldn't believe in the existance of dog, he was probably an agnostic

If he believed that there wasn't a dog why would he wonder if there was one ?

If he wondered if there was one, he coulndn't believe for sure that there wasn't one. Therefore he's an agnostic, not an atheist

OK, so he doesn't believe, but he might be wavering... and wondering...

I find it constantly refreshing and amazing how far we meander and wander from the original posting!

Perhaps someone should start a thread with a suggestion as to where it should end and see how long it takes to get there.....
