.. but not a politician to be seen!!

I need someone to build a website for me for a new business venture, but I've got absolutely no idea of what sort of costs to expect. If anyone has any information and/or wants the work, mail me off-line and we'll see where we go from there.

Cheers

Dave

A friend of mine runs a small webdesign / hosting / computer supply etc business by the name of Atodini.

They can be reached via the email link at www.atodini.com.

(Or if that doesnt work for some reason, then a direct email is Webmaster@atodini.co.uk)

it depends really on what you want it to do. If you want a simple site that is a multi page info site that gives you details on the "product" and a phone number, then thats cheap, I will do one for you very reasonably. But if you need on-line purchase, updatable content etc, secure pages etc, then the price is going to zoom...

like s2ooz says, a simple design is cheap enough, it gets more expensive as you add features, saying that though you can use many off the shelf products if its a simple shopping site, there are enough packages around.

When I do build sites however, I usually custom build the (or alter an existing one I built) simply because it usually works out a lot more efficient.

Again assuming were talking an e-commerce site here, I'm not sure about others but I often get paid on a profit share rather then a lump sum, this lets the client know its in my interests to work hard and not piss about on their money

So what is it you want the site to do?

Its not an e-commerce site, but does require interactivity with visitors.

I have receieved several offers of help, for which I am grateful and I will be persuing these options further off-line.

Many thanks to the PH community!
