It was good to meet you face to face, albeit breifly 
. I really enjoyed the show, so truely awesome machinery, I was particularly interested in the 750 club's stand and their new K100 powered racers. Bought a new race suit and was almost tempted by new boots but sensibility took control before I bent the credit card too much The Top methenol dragster reminded me that a trip to the Pod is long over due, and the Farboun reminded me why I work so hard (to no avail unfortunatly!) Anyway a car like that attracts totty like those on the stand, and they are bound to be expensive to run!

Who else apart from Stig noticed the Farboud was a mock up? If you looked through the N/S wheel arch you could see daylight right where the passenger compartment footwells would be, and all that smoked glass? Hmmmm?

I wouldn't even have minded a wooden mock-up of one of them 
Paul,On another topic completely, (my wife's about and talk of tall blondes will ruin my chances of tea tonight ) did you have a chance to check out the Tiger stand, I read somewhere that you started with a Tiger. The lotus derived racer, billed as the Ulimate track day car, that was on show was very nice but how did they arrive at £16000.00 for the kit version

I did have a good sniff round the Tiger, nee, ERA. I went to the launch of that car at the Tiger factory back in the autumn. £16k does look steep! All I can say is that, as with all their kits, that price is for a comprehensive kit that DOES include everything you need. Even the Hewland ‘box and brand new Ford Zetec engine. I’ve not looked at any other kit form single seater. So I can’t compare.
I was surprised by the price and quality of the Birkin. I had a long hard look around the two cars they had on their stand and they look outstanding value next to the Caterham. Just a pity they don’t do a true kit form of the car for about £10-12k. There is a module type build that would take about a weekend where you save a couple of grand. Not what I would call a winter project though!
