How the F&*K was this allowed to happen?
Discussion
Maybe a simplistic view but, the police go with immigration officers to arrest suspected TERRORIST. And a policeman dies. Jesus christ they werent going to arrest a peace loving hippy FFS. Someone's head needs to roll for this. they should have had twice as much backup as they needed and then some. He should have been wearing a stab vest and carrying a gun along with the police marksman and all that shit.
Can we do **** all right in this country?
My feelings go out to him and his family it should never have happened.

So without reading 50 odd rants on should britians have guns, is everyone in favour of the police been armed? I certainly am, but stand to be corrected as there is probably some points I have not considered.
If they had gone in prepared I'm sure some do-gooder would have said that he deserved it and incited the whole thing!?
The answer is No, we won't ever get it right until we get tough on lawbreakers.
Sorry, but I believe we are far too soft on scum and blood suckers, jail is too good for these people, bring back chain gangs and get them to fix our roads for the price of a hunk of bread and some water.

If a police officer died during a raid on a suspected terrorist, then someone messed up. As I said, I'll be interested to read about the lead up. As for the scumbag responsible, I hope they throw away the key.
I guess what I was saying in a cack handed manner is that it is very surprising that they weren't prepared for such an eventuality. That being the case, I'd hope that when more facts emerge the situation may be explained better and we'll understand how it happened or was 'allowed to happen'.
Some poor copper has died. If that's as a result of an operational error then let's not leap upon the person who made a mistake and will have to live with that. Let's keep site of the fact that some scumbag stuck a knife in the copper. That's the real crime.

Agree, someone messed up.. Feel sorry for the chap's family, not a job I'd care to do. I'd hope that if I had to go into a situation like that, I'd know exactly what I was going into..

AMEN TO THAT! Time to close the borders, if we are to go to war with the Middle East, which looks more and more probable, then we HAVE to refuse enty to anyone with the slightest conections. We also need to be looking toward internment, although that would have massive consiquences.
