Spotted last night on the A38 north bound, north of Lichfield.
1 x BMW 5 series (early 90s vintage)
Was possibly a 518, cos the exhaust was small
BUT!
it had an extra exhaust tailpipe glued to the normal one to give that genuine 6 cylinder look!
Plus it had extra Z8 stylee (WW2 fighter plane exhaust)type vents along the upper level of the front wings (not painted in yet so still all fillered!)
Plus it had new type M5 wheels
Plus- and this is the best bit, it had bright blue illuminated washer jets.

Oh, and a nice big vertical dent in the boot where the driver had clearly revered into a lamp post or such like.
The driver did look cool though, but thats possibly cos his window was stuck open and it was only 4c outside!
Hope it's not anyone here...........

don't get me started on those guys - they're known round here as charvers (townies) or the air filter brigade, or simply w****rs. I have lost count of the times i've been followed 3" from my bumper by one of their ilk, and it always makes the red mist descend - these are (sweeping generalisation coming up) the people I find driving with fogs & sides only, huge back box on but not the full kit, going way too fast in 30 zones, executing life endagering overtaking manoevres (sp?) and generally getting pulled by plod hiding out in said 30 zones (rightly so IMHO)
At least that's what it's like round here!

Ahhhh! feel better now!

Sadly, yes. It had also knocked off the "No fear" and the "GTI Turbo" badges too.

This sounds almost as bad as the Volvo 340 GL I seen round these parts. It was white with huge red TURBO stickers all over it, even on the almost half a window sized sun strip. White Led's on the washers no less. Lovely tasteful body kit and the crowning glory, red gaffer tape cobra style stripes from bonnet to boot Now that was a classy piece of machinery.

Also spotted for the first time for me, one of them fake dump valve thingies, you know, the ones with the speaker. Sounded like a casio keyboard on the cymbal setting oh, and it was on a 1.2 Nova with a huge exhaust, Led's and standard everything else

Well my guess is it's been played about with in PhotoShop anyway (the front wheel offset just looks a little large ) But BMW's of this age, well all E36's (I think) had the aerial built in to the rear window heater

Oh so right!
Hansgerd, you're connoisseur of the local circumstances then?

I would translate it into
Offenbach is Germany's Milton Keynes
