Rant experiment
Discussion
I think I may have lost the will to rant. Moreover, I find myself reading others' rants and replying with sympathetic soothing comments rather than adding fuel to the discussion. Worst of all though, the number of rants here on PH seems to be dropping. Should I buy a corduroy cardigan and roll over and give up?
Or, in an attempt to fire up you regulars to remind me what I'm missing I'm posting here some rant topics. I challenge you to produce short (no more than 10 lines) rants on any of the following:
- using mobile phones on public transport
- keeping gerbils...WHY!
- is make-up just women's preservative?

If there's one thing I can't stand it's people who come on and expect others to do thier ranting for them. If you can't be bothered getting all worked up about nothing then you shouldn't expect others to do it for you. It's Friday afternoon when I should be winding down and thinking about beer, but instead I feel obligated to pretend to have something irate to talk about and to berate others about who do not have exactly the same opinion as me. I have no problem with hampsters with makeup and mobile phones although my own personel experiences have led me to avoid the rodents as I have found that when allowed to run free about ones house they are very likely to get stood on. This tends to cause distress to females. (Human females who own the hampsters, not female hampsters, although I'm sure they would also be distressed )
I apologise for the lack lustre nature of my rant as I too couldn't be arsed.

Well that in itself is discrimination which deserves a rant!
What exactly is the difference between a gerbil and a hamster (there's no P in Hamster - well not the alphabetical kind anyway)?
Gerbils, good for nothing fluffy rodents that all daughters think look cute, you buy one in a shop for them, that is unbeknown to you pregnant, and in a few weeks you find yourself with about a hundred of the little fcukers.
Only people who have a use for them are celebrities turning them into fur coats, and sexual deviants shoving them up their arses.

I reckon there are fewer rants cos us true ranters are becoming an endangered species. We get amateur ranters from time to time, who'se star flashes briefly across the heavans before crashing to earth in a smokey trail of despondancy and despair, never to be seen again.
True ranters must have a fiery combination of paranoia, angst and fury, topped of with a very short fuse. Anybody want to argue with me on that?
Anyhow, to answer the other point: Gerbils are furry rodents, hamsters are baskets, used to carry the picnic in at outdoor social events such as PH5.
