Only 5 weeks to go until we go skiing and my daughter Hannah has broken her arm trampolening.
She spent the last two nights in Poole General and had an operation yesterday to pin it back together. All being well the plaster comes off and the pin comes out in 4 weeks that gives us a week to get her fit for skiing.
Wish her luck.

I'd be VERY surprised if she had the strength to ski... takes a while to get your confidence back once you've broken something. Although not as critical in skiing as your legs.. I'd imagine the doctor would advise her not to ski... if she fell on it, she could do even more damage.
Seem to recall there is a GP on PH... anyone?

breaks heal stronger than the old bone part
kids are resilient and bounce back quickly
by the time four weeks has gone by she will be able to pretty much use her arm even in the cast and the pain will have gone
I have broken four arms (two when I was a child) - take her anyway - she'll enjoy being outside and in the snow...
I hope she recovers soon

You're not going to believe this but another member of our party ended up in plaster today, 2 down 6 to go! Our friends daughter had a playground incident involving high speed and a large school bag. Nothing broken but damaged tendons requiring the joint to be immobolised. She should be out of plaster in time for skiing.
I'll be going down the local dry slope tomorrow so watch this space for the next installment.
