Here we go, another example of balanced BBC reporting.
On tonight's Inside Out, they've found a bunch of loons who road race at 180mph, and use radar detectors to avoid detection. They even FILMED the car (a Skyline GTR) doing 200mph on public roads.
Then - cue footage of crying mother who has lost a child due to a speeding motorist (no mention of radar detection), usual litany from ROSPA, TRL... you get the idea
Conclusion? That ALL radar detectors should be banned.
This kind of reporting absolutely beggars belief... Using the same extrusion of "logic" from "facts" would it be possible for me to conclude that the BBC's broadcasts of CBBC in the afternoon is a direct cause of paedophilia??

100% agree dire reporting, was about to start breaking furniture with rage at the ill thought out argument and sensationalism, 
when they introduced the next report on why 'buying a haunted house is a great idea' - which made me realise the level of journalistic thought that was going into this prime time BBC slot.
Summed it up that they've wasted my license fee on a load of cobblers again.

Well they did get to show thier mates that the car really does do 200mph... on the BBC!
I don't suppose Mr Policeman might take an interest in the smug BBC reporter for encouraging these loons to perform at 200mph just so he could get the footage??
It's a disgrace! disgrace I tell you!! All BBC journalism should be banned following this outrageous incite to commit crime!!!

the report was so biased. radar detectors = speeders doing 200mph = dead children
thus ban radar detectors = no speeders = lots of happy children. Cr#p
What a complite pile of cra* the BBC report was.
Those idiots doing 180- 200 mph deserve to be shot. Blame the drivers doing that speed not put the blame onto the detectors.
Get more police onto the roads and get the kids off the roads.
What a dumbing down of reporting this was. Unbeleivable, the Rospa spokesman was an idiot. Iam a current RoSPA ADA observer helping others learn the RoSPA ADA way and the utter sh#t this guy cam out with was unbeleivable.
Most of the RoSPA spokes persons dont take advice from the RoSPA ADA (advanced drivers association) the driving side and often conflict and make themselves look idiots. Most bods in RoSPA ADA are good fast drivers and would not support the tosh this offical guy cam out with.
Makes my blood boil.

C'mon people, what do you expect from the press? They always lie and make a minor incident into a major one by use of camera editing, lying and getting people to do stuff in front of a camera, which they wouldn't normaly do.
I've seen it so many times and the trouble is, Mr and Mrs Joe Public believe it.
A classic example is when a reporter was showing Northern Alliance troops (alias a few local tribesmen who happen to have weapons) in Afghanistan aledgedly engaging the enemy at a range of 500m plus with AK47s. (Too far for these gats) These guys were huddled in a dip firing blindly at something, not even bothering to aim, just giggling wildly at each other and at the camera. Well they had just been paid to do it after all by this strange westerner, how amusing eh?
That Irish lass reporting for GMTV who said she was always up the front (quick promote good looking female journo dodging the bullets up the front line) CRAP! Everytime she was reporting all you could see in the background was a sand wall. They all think they're right up amoungst it, these war tourists, in fact there's usually only a few hardcore guys who actually are, usually freelance people.
Another story, this time in the Balkans. A British volunteer with the Croatian forces mentioned to a member of the press that he would kill for a beer, meaning he was gagging for a pint. The next day it was headline stuff. "British mercenary will kill for a beer!"
The TV and papers are only after sensationalism (spelling?) and only interested in viewing fiqures. NEVER speak to them is my advice unless left with no choice. Poor standards are the order of the day I'm afraid. (The Trevor Macdonald ITV Tonight show is a good example)
