Common misunderstandings
Discussion
There are many, of course, I would like to draw the committee's attention to this one-
American stretch limousines
Americans seem to think that it is length that makes a car luxurious. If they stopped to think about it, they might realise that it is height that is required. How can it be luxurious to have to crouch down and shuffle on bended knees to reach your seat? Trouble is, those stupid 'stretch limos' are starting to appear over here, and the misunderstanding is being imported as well as the ridiculous cars.
Would anybody like to contribute any other examples of popular misunderstandings ( I don't think that the idea that 'it is Parliament that runs the country' counts because most people realise that the country is run from No 10)?

Slightly O/T
I want to own my own business in the future, and was seriously thinking of a limo service, is this not a good idea? Looked into it for a business project, quite a bit of demand, and the cars dont actually cost that much. (a google search will prove it)
As for misunderstandings, can a female please clarify Luv, and love. Think i get it but just in case.

Not only can you stand up in it, but could probably play a good round of golf without ever leaving the car

PS:That is not a photoshop. The same company even has a Hummer based limo

I think that the only problem with running a limo business is that your competitors might not welcome a new player in the area. If people feel that there is a risk to their livelihood they can get a bit nasty about it.

Is this the crowd opposite Publix on Peachtree?
Matt.
I believe so, Matt. Gold Club
, I'll let you explain that one to the poor unfortunate PHers that have never been there. FWIW, we have a similar (and in a lot of respects better) club here in Central Florida called Rachels... ErnestM

Saw one of those in Leeds today that has got to be about the ultimate.. Large lump in the bonnet, grills to let air in, spoilers all round and 4 tail pipes.
Actually, could have been a Corsa. Wasn't really interested truth be known, but the 12 year olds around it seemed to like it..
Misconception - the public transport system is arrranged such that when getting off a train, there will be a bus or tram along in about 2 minutes to get yo to your destination. Obviously watched how the Swiss do it, (then ignored everything..)
