tried a 180 but it was an auto. Seemed well made, handling seemed ok, well specced, dreadful auto box.

Boot is smaller and power well down when compared to our T5. Wouldn't swap it.

It was the 2.5 V6 180, which according to the brochure that i haven't got around to throwing away, loses only 5nm of torque on the 190 yet 1.2 secs to 60.

Probably that auto box.

A rwd V8 estate would be fun!

Had a ZT-T 190 for the day and it was a good car - fairly swift although i felt that the ride was overly stiff, although apparently MG are supposed to have revised the suspension settings on all of the ZT range?

Also the ZT-T 260 is due out within the next 6 months and then an even more powerful one later on in the year (all rear wheel drive as well!!!)

Yep, our other car is a MG ZT 190. Don't listen to anyone about the suspension, the original setup and now optional sports suspension makes it handle like a MkII 16v Golf GTi and it's great. You can really chuck it about and certainly surprise quite a few serious machines on the twisty bits. Waiting for the V8s to turn up this year (hopefully). The wife even mentioned this evening, "why don't we get one of those new ones and get some free petrol" after seeing the latest MG advert on telly

i probably need to get rid of the wifeys V8 disco before it hits 130k !!!

and a ZT-T appeals for some reason probably a 190+
(but its front wheel drive urghhh)

as i have been waiting for the mustang V8 one for so long i've almost given up, but a mate of mine is building the plant to put the engines in ....

and for 40k i could swap the chim for a T350T and keep the disco oh heck....

Tried a 160 for a couple of days. I found the ride pretty harsh but I guess this is the price you pay for the handling. Nice engine note. Decent build interior, too. They also have quite a mean look about them, don't they?

Are they doing a V8 saloon or just the estate? I wouldn't swap the S4estate for anything but will need a new car of some sort this year.

Mmmmmm - Rover V8... has a nice nostalgic feel about it. Real "Jam Sandwich" material.

The V8 will bo both saloon and estate - the turbonutterbastard estate really appeals to me, really like the look...

I had a test drive in the 190+ saloon a couple of months back. I really wanted to like it, but sadly I found it a bit of a disappointment.

The main problem was that it didn't actually feel like it had 190 horses, in fact substantially less. I even hit the rev-limiter (by accident) in second after a while -- I can only have been waiting for the "go".

The interior was pretty good, though the leather seat rubbed on the central thingy resulting in lots of squeaking, though I guess that could be fixed (but then again, why wasn't it, on a demo car?).

The ride and handling were good, I was quite impressed with them, but what I (also) wasn't impressed with was the glove box which contained nothing but the cd changer. I asked the chappie but there was not possibility (it was said) of locating it in the boot: the glove box was its only home. "What about an mp3 head-unit?" I asked. "No demand, not an option" the reply. Fair enough, but put the changer somewhere better then!

Overall, I went there really wanting to like the car and perhaps even buy one, but was a bit disappointed in the end.

Still "waiting" for them to call me back about something, too.

Less than a BMW and the X500 I was told is a better dirve! If the new ones are the same it will be a winer
