Just been out in the snow....

in the Cerb.
I took it to work last might, knowing fine well it would snow and i've had a bloody marvellous time driving back home this morning.
Hanging the back end out round corners etc, cooking it too much on one and slid nicely thru 360 degrees - great fun when the roads are empty with loads of room incase it does go pear shaped. Even better when I went into Asda for a bottle of pop in an empty car park.
Oh the fun of working nights. Have to put the sensible head back on and take the 4x4 out from now on.

.........of course we're mostly sissies and suddenly deciding to "Work From Home"!!
Actually tried to get out this morning but snow just thick enough that I cannot negotiate the steepish ramp from garage block up to the road! But neither could a Carlton. And another PHer has just come back in his Beemer (ok smartar$e, just cos' you've got a "snow setting" on your 'box
) having turned round within a mile.

Anywhere else in the world and people can cope - the roads would be gritted, people would be out clearing snow et cetera - not in Surrey though! What a bunch of wimps...useless local authorities...blah blah!

Still, after thirty minutes of struggling to get the Griff out, I remembered that my company wants to make me redundant next week, so what am I trying to get into the orrifice for????
Would have been fun if I could get up to the road though!

Would be easy if I could work from home.. but I can't .. I can only drink tea and read PH at home.. the M3 is pretty screwed.. I turned round at J5 but I may try to get to work a bit later..

We have blue skies, sun and a very cold wind. 
Well, I enjoy a bit of a larf in the motor in the snow just as much as the next man. But, tried to get into the office this morning which is 5 miles away, it took me 45 minutes to get 1 mile.
Also noticed a lot of people are still driving in their usual numpty manner. They can see that I need a bit of room to get going (most of the time I was at 45 degrees to the kerb!) yet they still carve past you, and get irate when the back of your car starts slewing towards their front drive euro box scrabble wagon.

Surely it's just a case of getting enough speed up before you hit the ramp... Try harder man!
