Thats it - my last day as a wage slave!!

No more worrying about what the boss thinks, or having to bow and scrape when the big knobs walk by .......

Mind you, stepping out into the big bad world and starting a new business in times like these is scary stuff, so perhaps I've just swapped one lots of trouble for another - who knows??

But I'm glad I'm doing it, even if it does mean a bit less time for PistonHeads but with broadband and my new PC being the only one on-line, perhaps I can still manage a few posts!!

I've been self-employed for 2 years now and I've never looked back - and I have the satisfaction of knowing that I'm not working my backside off to keep my bosses in penthouses and Rolls Royces. The only trouble is that although you know deep down that you have less time for PH, something somewhere tells you that in fact you have more...

Been doing similar hours and getting squat all return for it.. If the economy was a little better and there weren't so many people looking for so little work in my line I'd have gone self employed a long time ago..

Good luck Mondeoman, I started my own business at 23,in 1987. The best bit of advice ( not that you probably need it) that I was ever given was "never put off 'til tommorrow what you can do today." Remember as well, that whatever the economy,competition or trade you're in, there is ALWAYS room for one more good one.
