Is the A1 shut Stevenage/Hatfield way?

Anyone know please? I'd like to find out by 4pm as we're due to come south tonight. Anyone got a site to find out that's updated regularly?

www.rac.co.uk worked for me. From what I've seen it's just not worth trying. We're not far from rush hour and if you get caught in that you may get hit by the next blizzard everyone's crying about.

I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but if you REALLY must travel take the train.

I have just come back from that direction the A1 was closed at Sandy and the A1M is open but grim.
