Am I alone in thinking this is a disgraceful sentence for this waste of fresh air, he killed 2 people FFS and injured 2 others. Also why was he given a second lifetime ban for driving? about as much use as tits on a fish!

No you're not alone. The sooner we bring back the noose for vermin like this the better. Forget the deterrent effect and all that stuff - on pure economic grounds we'd be better off without the costs of keeping this scum in warmth and computer games.

It refers to the total waste of space come detrius that stole a car and was then involved in an accident that killed a 6 year old kid who was sat in the back of her fathers car. Her sister is still in intensive care I believe.
The guy did a runner but then later admitted the offence.
He was driving whilst banned without insurance in a stolen car and had commited exactly the same offence some 11 years earlier, on this occaision it was his best mate who died!!

The guy is the worst type of scum, and doesn't deserve to be walking the same earth as the rest of us.
I read some of the comments of the little girls father earlier.
He said "he didn't believe in life for a life, but he wouldn't mind seeing the blokes legs chopped off so he couldn't drive again" much respect to that man.

Jesus!

If he'd stolen a gun (having had a record of shooting things before), and then killed the little girl with it, what would the courts have done?

As it is, he'll be out in five years... aged 32...

I agree, he should be 'encouraged' never to pick up a set of car keys in his life again.

Ive always thought we should adopt the american practise of considering any death as a result of a crime to be murder IIRC.

Hang him.

If that had been my daughter this scum had killed I would make it my life times ambition to meet him in a dark alley, guess I don't have to explain the rest.

89 previous! and WTF was the point in a second lifetime ban? by then it should have been clear that he was not repentant or going to stop, the system has let the victims down very badly I hope the promised review comes up with some proper and appropriate sentences. The police who brought this creep to trial must be beside themselves with frustration.

Carr was also ordered by Judge Hodson to complete the remaining two years of a previous sentence

... so that's alright then. Despite having been jailed before for causing death by dangerous driving, he got out early and managed to do it again. Excellent. I can only hope his time in jail is singularly unpleasant - with any luck someone in there with him will decide he needs teaching a proper lesson.

Such things do happen, so we can hope. An ex-lag friend of mine told of how a haybale was "accidentally" dropped from a haystack onto a child sex attacker, putting said nonce into a wheelchair for the rest of his miserable life.

One of my wife's collegues was killed in a crash on Monday night, the other driver ran off and although the Police know who he is they have yet to find him.

What I would do to find him first.... Once he comes to trial he'll only get 5 or so years, for killing someone, 23 year old women in this case with an entire life ahead, in such a reckless way. It is needless a complete waste and he should be put away and forgotton about.

SCUM!

Yes this really is a travesty, I say lock him up for 25 and his arms and legs for a further 50 – after the 25 he chooses when to leave. – Only that would cost us lot more keeping him….. I don’t know, I really am anti capitol punishment but when you see this sort of stuff, I cant help but think -

I can honestly say that if a daughter of mine had been killed by this utter scum I would be searching every pub back room in every nasty area of britain to find someone who can sort him out inside.

He should be run over, and then reversed over and then left to die.

Shocking.

Matt.

A mate of mine wrapped a galvanised mop-bucket around a nonce's head when he was lording it watching the horse racing in the TV room. The nonce was never seen again...."headache" .
