who should i apply for a job with?
Discussion
Hello, to all i'm a gassing virgin. Just joined the site.
I have to say I am very impressed with what i have seen so far.
Can anybody recommend a company I should apply for an Engineering Graduate position with. I finish my degree here in Newcastle in June and am wondering what to do next.
One more thing. I realise this car does'nt really belong in a site like this with all the top performance cars poeple have. But I am trying to sell my car (you can see it in the classifieds section its the only one under Orion!). The car is a concourse show car i built myself.
If you know of anyone who might be interseted in a car like this, please let me know.
Cheers

I really dont know what i want to specialise in. So I suppose any type of engineering would be good.
however I would like to work in development. I worked for Shell Expro in Aberdeen on a year placement 2001/02.
As for skills etc. I am the first to admit I am not a genius and never will be. I hope to get a 2:1 in Mechanical engineering.
I am good at design/development and understanding engineering problems.
On leaving school I worked as an Agricultual Engineer
Worked on Tractor Pullers which was cool. (6000hp+)
Then worked with cars bikes wagons etc. Was a mechanic for bike racing team in 2000 (British Endurance Championships) and have messed around with formula 2 side cars.
So you could say i have the practical skills.
