Pistonheads Stickers...Protecting the PH Name....
Discussion
I'm slightly worried about having a PH Sticker on my car, and the possible consequences when I just happen to get things a little wrong or I'm having fun.
Only today I was having some fun along a back road, came to the junction with a main road, nothing approaching (something behind though), On the Brakes, down a cog, off brakes, on gas - off gas and whayyy heyyyyyy! Front wheel drive and a wet corner
Anyhow, the driver and passenger behind didn't seem as impressed as I was
Don't know why....
So, I was wondering what PHers think of doing this and displaying the highly fashionable "Pistonheads.com Speed Matters" Stickers
And I wouldn't mind Ted's opinion on the matter.
This has been bugging me for a month or so, and is the reason I haven't put the stickers on the side of the car as yet!

Try this to ruin the PH name , hit a blindingly obvious security post in a van sporting a PH sticker in the front window and one on the rear
I think i was hit by a numpty disease towards the end of the week which caused this expemplary style of driving
Glad there was no other PH'ers in brindley road in manchester
BTW stu the ford fuse box is about a 10 min job to replace if you decide to do your orion i replaced one on saturday

Glasses Anyone?
10 Minutes!
Is that an "I'm a professional and I can do it in 10 minutes"
or a
"I know jack about car electrics and I can do it in 10 minutes"?
Still deciding on the best course of action.
I've got a knackered Offside Rear Bearing and some others quite major problems which are all affecting the descision!
Cheers mate
Seriously the fuse box/bsi unit is a 10/20 min job , just make sure you replse the fuses/relays in the same order as your fuse box
as for my driving on friday i cant posibly comment
Edited to put an r in order

I wouldn't worry about it. Let's face it most people don't notice the stickers in the back of car windows unless you're stuck in traffic for a long time.
I've had bloody great big Speed Matters stickers all over my car for a couple of years without incident. Don't worry about being so PC
As for protecting the PH name, I am appreciative for your concern. Simple answer is to have fun and drive respsonsibly - no law against that.

mungo said: You are not the only one TVRadict who thinks about this. I have a "speed matters" sticker on my rear window and often I see people in my rear view mirror looking amused who have obviously read the PH moto.
Sometimes people look very dissaproving and as a result of this, I am careful not to drive inconsiderately or like too much of a nutter. As an example, overtaking a line of cars on a NSL dual carriageway at full throttle and *** mph then having to stop for traffic lights at a roundabout whilst all the cars you went past at warp nine get to read "speed matters" on your back window as they slow to a stop behind you can often prove a little embarrasing![]()
Mind you, the mere ownership of a obviously fast car can often lead people to assume you are a nutcase. People will always notice your driving much more in a fast car and as such I always try my best to drive sensibly when there is a fair bit of traffic or lots of people to notice if I drive like a kamakaze. Put me on a nice fast flowing NSL road with noone else in sight howeverand I'll be driving for fun!
...says Mungo, who still has me grinning after a - what was it? - warp speed 9 ride around the local roads in the Caterham one lunchtime?

Hey, I bought a fleece I'm doing my bit
Not got a big enough rear window for adverts anyway, especially as I have a baby on board sticker there too.

I suppose that has really answered all queries!
Cheers Ted
And as for being PC, of course I'm Pistonheads Conforming! What else would I be?
Short of copying Ted's mobile billboard with the car stickering, this is as far as I can go really. I did have one on the front but various letters slowly got peeled off by the wipers...!
More often than not, I'll get a thumbs up from bikers who read the sticker. The front fogs and blue LED boys always want a drag race, but not sure if that's the PH sticker or the Matrix-Churchill exhaust on the GTI. Anyways, always happy to do my part for PH circulation...!
