I have an Esprit with a red crackle finish to the cam covers and airbox etc.

It needs repainting.

Usual Lotus specialists suggest the paint is made of unobtanium.

Anyone know of a supplier of a similar product?

Thanks,

Pat.

Try Frost Automotive Restoration Techniques Ltd based in Rochdale, Lancs. Tel: 01706 658619,

www.frost.co.uk

In their catalogue they have red VHT paint, and non-VHT red crackle paint. Maybe they can advise you or get something to match the original finish for you - certainly worth a call.

Pat,

Chrysler makes a high temp crackle paont which is a virtual match for the paint Lotus used. They have two part #s, I will try to find the correct one in my notes and post it in a day or two. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE
