Any Active Directory Gurus in here?

I'm currently tinkering with a local policy template for my workstations, and one of the settings I wanted was to set a wallpaper to use.

In doing that I have to enable Active Desktop to show the .bmp, and when you log on to see the change it keeps loading the .bmp overlayed with the home page of the machine.

Anyone know how to get around this? Without hacking the registry mind? I wanted to just load one template which gave all the settings I needed.

Help, its a simple one I bet but it's driving me up the wall....!

In the HTML template of the Active Desktop can you not just edit it to take the image source from the bitmap you want?

Oh, and if there are any moderators watching, can you change the thread title from Directory to Desktop?

I have, but when you log back on to get the change reflected, the default home page is displayed over the background. The only way to stop this is to turn off avtive directory, which in turn switches off the background.

What I can't understand is why MS used Active Desktop to implement what is a simple request as far as a policy change goes. Damn Active Directory.

Yup, I was sending you a screenshot until somebody hijacked my machine to write a cd.

It's the one under Administrative Templates/Desktop/Active Desktop.
