In a massive quandry about next toy, always better to share stress with others!

What would you buy?

a) Noble (new)
b) 360 Coupe (2nd hand)
c) Vantage (2nd hand)
d) Porsche 996 Turbo (2nd hand)

Answers on a postcard to...

Appreciate any comments (positive / negative) from owners of the above.

It will be maily w/e use, regular long trips to Europe - track play too!

(Mileage is not an issue)

Noble - Couldn't give you reasoned specific but its the only one there thats a proper sorted sports car to me - the others are all GT's in my mind. (plush interiors and all that malarky!)

Edited to say: plus I'm trying to buddie up to all the noble owners on here so I can get a ride in one

If you enjoyed your previous Porker, I'd go for the Turbo as it'll be the allaround capable toy. However, if you've never had a Fezza, it would be enormous fun.

I can't see the Vantage being a good track toy. Entertaining for a short while, maybe - but then you may as well take the Bentley on a track.

I don't know much about the Noble but if I were getting a car for use abroad, I'd want to have a sporting chance of finding a dealer within 100 miles if I broke down.

Right, you've had a Porka, and you've got a Cerb (a bit Nobleish) So it would have to be the Rarri
And while I've got your check book out I'd pop a deposit on an that new Aston and trade the 360 against it when it comes
This makes Joust's toys look tame

Given that it's Ford engined, you stand a lot better chance than the other options!

I must get to a hospital and sell what few internal organs I have.

Have to say the 360 is winning, just the numbers that are scary -

LOVE the 996 Turbo - had one for a weekend - awesome car but still slightly uninvolving - Damn quick A>B car tho!

p.s. The Bentley is a great track car

Lovely Cerb work, Buster; good value approach too.

For this type of cash it has to be the Porsche or Ferrari...I think the 911 it has to be because you already have a take on screaming bansheedom with the Tiv...

The 996TT really is the supercar for all seasons (and to continue such mag-sourced plagiarism) there really aren't any reasons (why not)!

If you hadn't got the Cerby, however, I would have said F360 for sure.

What a cracking stable you'll have! Superb

Cracking stable: Empty bank account

Still have Sarah's Freelander - perhaps I can use that on the track!

Greg, what about a F355??

Less scary numbers than the 360, yet similar experience. With the cash you save you should be able to go the full tubi/decat route. Basher/Fraser seems pretty happy with his car!

Heart is set on the 360 if the numbers work.

Love the 355 but if I do go the 'rarri route has to be the 360!

996TT or 360. Both fantastic vehicles, and built/tested closer to mass produced cars.

You know you want the Ferrari, with tubi decatted, ooohh you'll be addicted. How about you take all for a test? I reckon you'll settle on Pork/'rari

996 Turbo. If you're thinking trackdays, it's the only one I can get into comfortably with a crash helmet on! Then again, I am 6'4".

I am going to be a bit different and say I would go for the Vantage. Reasons:

996TT Great car but ultimately uninvolving.
360Coupe Do not like the looks, or the price.
Noble Not my kind of thing.
Vantage Great looks and presence.

when you said "360 Coupe, 2nd hand" i immediately thought VOLVO!!! - the next thing that came in my mind was you're a bit weird hankering after a Noble, Aston and Porker and some knackered old Volvo.

then the penny dropped, Volvo didn't make a coupe of the 360 (the only volvo coupes i know are 440 and C70) so i realised you must mean a Ferrari...

i think i may have to go back to bed as i blatantly haven't woke up yet.
