B*ll*ks! Think i've lost my phone, What to do..?
Discussion
Bugger Sh*t and
!
Just discovered that I don't have my phone on me :checkspocketsjustincaseivebeenacompletemuppetandamactuallysittingonthedamnthing:
It's not in my works jacket or my overalls. I can usually tell when it is 'cos it usually gives a thud off the floor when it lands
I have phoned it to no avail, seems it was either turned off after I phoned it or the battery ran out!! For it to be turned off someone has to have it, which means it's been nicked!
Anyway, Had it at 8.00 this morning sitting in the office at work, actually I threw it at my boss for being a checky bastard, but he caught it and handed it back to me
I stuck it in my pocket and haven't looked at it since!
What do I have to do now?
Tomorrow I will look in the vans and in the site I was working at today! But thats my options over, there is nowhere else it could be!
Should I report it stolen? and should I risk cancelling it only for it to turn up in 2 days? (Sods law, it always happens!
)
Cheers
Stuart!

if whoever has it tries to put the pin in, it'll eventually go to a puk lock. The service provider may be able to puk lock the phone remotely but it's unlikely.
Best thing to do is phone the service provider, say that your phone is missing and you want the sim card blocking, that way they can't make calls off it, and hopefully end up puk locking the phone leading to them not being able to use it with a different sim.
Then it's a case of biting the bullet, trying to remember the names & numbers of all your contacts and buying another phone...

Now you know why there are people going around with them tied to their waist like a complete geek
I know someone in our office who does it! A bit like the guy in "The Office" with the holster

Is there a branch of IT that demands this???
(Actually - it's a damn good idea, just too vain to do that meself
