Who else loves clubbing?
Having failed to get out to a club for a couple of weeks now for various reasons I am now really starting to miss the feeling of being in a club. So what are you best and worse club experiences you have ever had.
I will start
Best
Getting it on at Gatecrasher with friend + excellent music and lots of dancing
Worst
Not really had one
Best night out
Essential mix tore liquid rooms Edinburgh
Gatecrasher @ republic
And others

Blimey, a topic I know something about
Some of the best nights of my life have been in nightclubs.
Spectrum 1989 Oakie just back from Ibiza and it all kicked off. Used to be regular at Ramplings Milk Bar and the LoveRanch at Maximus in Leicester Square.
Seeing Oakie at Tranceport in Vancouver and Sasha at Spundae in San Francisco also rank up there as top nights.
Living Dream in Edmonton North London in 1991 was epic also and the entire illegal rave scene of the same time was just about the best formative experience a young clubber could hope for.
1991 - 1995 was mostly spent doing the weekend tour of the Midlands and London. Cream, Sundisenntial, Gatecrasher etc.
Since then Cream at the Que Club in 1996, Rampling, Diggers and Sasha, Boy Georges DJing debut (you're shite but everyone loves you George) all epic. Northern Exposure NYE at Ally Pally in '97 Orbital playing Chime into Big Ben truly mind blowing.
98 saw the odd jaunt to NYC to see Sasha and Digweed play a monthly residency in the sweatiest sexyist club ever, Twilo with a truly magnificent sound system. The Tunnel with Vasquez was also worth a look before he went all obtuse playing shite records for 'comedy' value - this isnt Big Beat Boutique you
. Most of this year was spent being pampered in the VIP at Cream and that ridiculous DJ box you could land a plane in.
99 Home and Fabric. Home could have been the best club of all time, £3 million worth of digital sound, bass all round you and tweeters suspended from the ceiling - madness. Fabrics bodysonic dancefloor was good, but they dont really switch it on anymore and the weekends have been hijacked by the breakbeat crowd.
2000/2001 was spent doing weekend jaunts down to Miami from Atlanta where there is also a decent club scene
2002 The Gallery @ Turnmills is the most consistently quality club in the UK and will get there whenever I can
2003 only been once this year, and generally need a rest!
Matt.

Being a little of a "Raver" myself I've been to a couple of really good clubs all over the world and remember some real good parties
Carl Cox - Durban South Africa (+10 000 People)
Toni De Vit (Rest his soul) Durban (8000 People)
Graham Gould(sp) Johannesburg and Durban (5 - 8000 people)
Faithless (has to be the greatest rave I ever attended), was held in a Sugar terminal in Durban Harbour (15 - 20000 people)
A load of others I can think of but the above were probably the most memorable (what I can remember of them).
I still Dj at house and trance parties in and around the Cambs area from time to time .

Spiral Tribe raves between 1990-1991
Went to one on top of a hill in Stroud and stayed for two days !
Also lying on biggest bed in world in Ku in Ibiza in 1993 with 16 fully kitted out nurses. Even stranger was getting pounced on by Ompalompa with a talent for making animal ballons.
Ended up singing "The further adventures of Portland Bill" down on the seafront afterwards.
So thats where all my braincells went

27 was significant wasnt it?
Matt.
Yeah, their lucky number or something, the contact mobile numbers always had to have 27 in them somewhere.
Those were the days though hey.... good stuff, glad to see there are some "old school" pistonheaders !
Afraid I'm "keeping it real now" and have all but retired from the clubbing scene. I've seen some strange things on the way though
Ever go to Sterns in Brighton/Worthing when that was open?

Gods Kitchen anyone..?
my best night was probably with Lisa Lashes playing a really good Hard House night somewhere in Bristol me and me bruvva had a top night out together..
Cream was pretty good in its time, although I started my clubbing years in Stoke at Golden aka the Academy, there practically every week..

Not sure where I went in Brighton.
Years ago you could start at the Milk Bar on Thursday, somewhere Friday, LoveRanch Saturday and end up at either Shave Yer Tongue at Simpsons in Bracknell on Sunday or the Sunday Roast in Brighton.
I alternated between the two and that, apart from BBB at the old Concorde, oh and the Shark Bar (I think) are the only places I have been in Brighton.
