Your favourite road ?

I'm organising a trip around the UK and thought it would be good to ask what everyone's favourite road is, so as to try and pack in as many as possible. I am always reading articles of blasts across moors, spectacular passes or even great dual carriageways, but fail to identify where they are (or remember them).
fyi ,one of my own favourites is the A227, from Ightam to Shipbourne in Kent, (early before all the traffic is out). Some excellent sweeping curves well sighted.
(old but not frequent PH so apologies if this has been done before)

My favourite route is:
A96 from aberdeen, left at the Oyne Fork, through Insch, Kennethmont. Then through Difftown, and out towards Tomintoul (onto the good roads). At Tomintoul, left over the Lecht towards Ballater (fabulous road). Over the River Dee at Balmoral, then back to Aberdeen on the South Deeside Road.
Strictly summer only however, as most of it is closed for snow at the moment.

the A68 from West Auckland to Corbridge, on to the Military Road (B 6327?) at the Stagshaw Roundabout, along to Chollerford on to the B6320 to Bellingham, then all the way to Kielder Forest (if you're feeling brave you can take the forest road from Kielder Castle to the A696 40 miles back down to Newcastle) alternatively, you can turn up the West Woodburn road, back on to the A68, on to the Otterburn road through to Rothbury and Morpeth. Oh and I heartily recommend the A697 as well.... sweet sweet memories!
Any of the roads surrounding Bedfordshire kick ass, the B660 is nationally recognised, but my personal favourite is off of this and goes from the A6, through village of riseley, through swineshead to little staughton, crossing the B660 just before little staughton. Bikes use this in the summer too. Everythings there, jumps, bridges, tight bend, open bend and good views too!!!

And finally the A832 past Gairloch and A890/A896 up in Scotland are aboslutely pant-wettingly good, best of all, theres nobody else on them!!! Godd open corners with bags of visability!!!

Some very tantalising options. Not many respondents from the south west, wales or east though - anyone out there reading this?
If I manage to stitch these together in a sensible form
(using Microsoft Autoroute, just bought it and it seems fit for the job), then I will post it all back to you somehow.

Here's one from Wales,
A483(mostly) from Swansea-Llandeilo-Llandovery-Llanwrtyd Wells-Beula-Builth Wells-Llandrindod Wells-Newtown-Wrexham-Chester.
170 miles through the heart of Wales, gorgeous countryside.
Road is crazy varyng from Dual carriageway around Chester, to single wide carriageway around Wrexham, single lane to Newtown, mountain path from Newtown to Llandrindod with plenty of the windies as the road snakes around the mountains
and all the way to Swansea in varying degrees of windiness.
Do it in the winter when snowing, standing water on the road etc and it'll put hairs were hairs are not meant to be
