Right :

Today it's half term for schools and the only thing that today proves is that if you introduced school buses and stopped parents dropping their kids off at school, the rush hour would be alot quieter without any need for additional taxation on the motorist

Number plates:
Believe me the police don't give a crap about illegal plates (unless you're being a class A plonker - that would include boy racers).

I stuck illegal sized plates on my car (the front is only 12" x 3" with 2" high type). I got pulled the over night 4am camden town. They ran a check on the plates (private plate) and it came back that it was on retention - which it is. I told them the DVLA made a mistake and were correcting it because I recently purchased the reg. OK sir on your way then ..

So either register your car abroad or buy a private plate and stick it on retention. Added bonus is never worry about parking tickets again.
