HELP--NEXT DAY CARRIER REQUIRED URGENTLY

In my business we have to dispatch Support Channel/Cable Tray that is 3 Metres long.Our present carrier(Interlink)has just informed us they will no longer handle our 3M packages without imposing a freight charge of £27 per Package! (frequently we send out as many as 10-12 bundles or more!!)
This is obviously unacceptable so we are looking for a new Carrier very urgently.....any suggestions guys?

Any parcel carrier will avoid this kind of work like the plague. You will find anywhere that it will be expensive.

I would look at Nightfreight as a supplier. They are low volume in the industry and therefor handle a lot of abnormal freight.

The higher volume comp's will look for business that can be automatically sorted.

If not then you may have to look at Palletline or similar to move it.

However we are 95% sameday and wouldn't be able to deal with this kind of freight, I wish I could give a reccomendation but hand on heart I would say that they are all as unreliable as others just in different areas!

Business Post will handle parcels of this size, and are pretty good as far as service goes. Don't know what the pricing will be though.
