Shouldn't have got out of bed this week...

I'm having a s**t week.
Spent the weekend cleaning the TVR and the Escort... both looked immaculate. Dead chuffed.
Sunday afternoon... someone scratches the TVR.
Monday morning... getting messed around with regards to a job interview...
Tuesday... A Land Rover Discovery rolls down the hill into my Escort...
Looks like a write off (repairs more than the car is worth)
Having a real "why bother?" type scenario at the moment... :sigh:
Anyone else having a s**t week?
Or can someone cheer me up?

My wife has started her new job 250 miles away. For the first time in 5 years I am having to wash and iron my own clothes, clean the house every night (trying to sell at the mo), cook (but then I did that anyway), walk the dogs, cope with her ringing up in floods of tears every night 'cos she's decided that living with my parents for a while wasn't the great idea we thought it was.
All in all having a miserable time so if you fancy a whizz up to Newcastle I'll take you out and get pissed with you

I'm there with you on the bumped car senario, someone ran into the back of the wifes car causing £4,000 worth of damage. She then takes my car leaving me with a hired MX5 that being 6'3 I can't actually get into.
I know they are raved about for the back to basic handling etc etc but it would help if it hadsome room inside !!!

Take a look at these - they may cheer you up!

no I didn't... spent saturday cleaning and polishing it... looked fantastic.. was quite chuffed with my work actually! Dropped the car in the car park... posted a letter or two, grabbed a newspaper and then came back... nice mark on the driver's door (so I see it EVERYTIME I get in it!).
As for the Escort... pain is I won't get what I paid for it... and that car was a bargain, in good nick and low mileage.
Feel pretty lousy... just fed up. Seems you put all that effort in, and get f**k all back... so why bother?
Oh, and that job I mentioned earlier... I was interviewed in September..! - and they STILL haven't made a decision, or filled any of the three vacancies...
Hope this make you feel better.
I have had to take a Job in Switzerland, as there was nothing in the UK, leaving wife and 2.5 year old son behind.
Decide to go home every weekend, but last weekend, the flight was delayed so much, I missed the last train. Slept (well tried) on the train station floor, as they shut the f**king waiting room. Finally got home at 10am Saturday.
Leave at 15:45 on Sunday, get to the airport, and guess what. Plane delayed again, had to wait for 55 minutes for a train and got to bed at 01:30 on Monday. Had to be up at 6am to get into work.
Work is a pain at the mo' too.
You're not the only one Podie, so try and look on the bright side. I'm trying :-)
Sparks
P.S I also had to go to Saudi for 6 months last year to find a job, only getting home to see the wife and kid twice. And the money was not that great either, even tax free.

Sounds like I'm going to get peanuts back... paid 3600 (slightly over book at the time) and they're talking 2400..!

Think its definately national shit on everyone week..
Some tw
t just reversed into my S.. Now have a matching pair of broken indicators at the front. Working from home, heard someone cocking up a 3 point turn, was just thinking I hope they don't hit anything when I heard a dull thud. By the time I'd grabbed keys and shoes and shot outside they had fecked off..
Front end generally a little sad now; no chrome trim on the headlight surrounds and 2 cracked indicators.

Moaning barstewards.
Still waiting for restitution given my mate borrowing the taxi, driving it 3rd party (I'll look after it mate honest) and tooling it into a traffice sign whilst coming off a roundabout backwards.
Current best estimate to fix 7k. No insurance company to pay, one very very very sorry mate who is now utterly broke. I loose out too as I've spent about 4k on the car in 6 months to make it spotless (even replaced a chipped foglight the week before for a whopping 250 quid)
I'm only pissed off as I have been cut down to size and am dirivng me mums fiesta (1.25 ztec, actually not a bad car at all).
Still waiting for the garage who currently have it to make me an offer for scrap.
Still life ain't so bad, nobody got hurt and the sun is shining and one day I'll get some cash for a new car....
