Sorry, but we're all too down today and need cheering up, even if it is a fantasy. I'm sorry if I caused coffee to hit keyboards but everyone is entitled to dream.
Press release:
The Downing Street press office announced at 4.02pm this afternoon that Tony Bliar was standing down as Prime Minister with immediate effect.
"I thought I was, you know, doin' allright". Said a crestfallen Mr Blair. "The asylum seekers, burglars, George Dubya Bush, anti car people and Cherie all told me I was great. But then I started to get letters from people such as a Mr Deltaf, Mr Carzee, a Podie and, most frighteningly a Mrs Fish. When I read those letters I realised that, you know, I was basically fcuking everything up. As John Prescott told me "You're a jumped up little public school wakner Tony and allways will be".
Mr Bliar continued;
"I would like to, you know, apologise to all the people who voted for me and who believed the slogan "things can only get better" when of course they are now much, much worse. I think I'd better go now".
Early reports say that a one eyed puritanical car hating scotsman is poised to take the helm.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Hey, why most frighteningly

"I say to you"
"I hear what you say"
There's a principle in some psychology stuff, that everyone has a "predominant sense", usually hearing, sight or touch. That dictates the kind of language you use and most readily relate to. If someone of a diffrent "sense" uses a phrase from their "sense" a lot, you will tend to find that irritating and will find it difficult to relate to the person, often without realising why.
A visual person might say "I see what you mean". A "feeling" person (got to be a beter word) might say "that feels right to me".
And a "hearing" person might say "I hear what you say".
That doesn't mean Tone's not an underhand deceitful masticator though
.

paul-b, which one has lost an eye? There are so many of them, and not an indecent Highlander amongst the whole rag-bag lot.
It's true that they are all blind.......... and deaf and probably mad but I think the iron chancellor is certainly a one eyed jack. He's probably one of the few options that would be worse than Bliar but perhaps more honest. (Having said that Saddam would be an honest option compared to Bliar).
He should get a kicking on BBC1 tonight at 9 by the way.
