It's about the centre of the middle map square in the above link on the left hand side of the road.

Yer sounds about right -slightly north if you click on the zoom out button on the map you can then get bruntingthorp in the picture as well - I've been there a number of times on my to and from the Noble Factory + Bruntinthorp. (Barwell is on the bigger picture too)

Pete,
I was the one who posted on TVR - I read the Shell search site properly and there is a phone number on there for assistance. I called them and, whilst it took a little longer than the on line version!, the guy was helpful and able to tell me where a station was.
Depends if you have the time to waste on the phone and not be driving I guess!
Phil.

One would have thought Shell would do a little handy glove box sized fold-up map of the UK with all the Shell stations identified on it. Would be a cheap marketing give away, infact why don't they make me Marketing Director and pay me a lump of cash for the idea?

Just done a bit of searching and the Shell filling-station locater seems to be working for me, try going here www.shellstation.biz/ then click on the UK flag to go to here www.multimap.com/clients/places.cgi?client=shell&lang=en&db=GB at this point you can click on various selections like shop, car wash, LPG etc. and of course Optimax. Seems to work OK?

Rich…Filled the kwack up at the shell garage in Dorchester this morning and noticed optimax is only 1p more per litre than normal unleaded 78.9 for unleaded and 79.9 for optimax when i topped up a few weeks back the difference betweeen super unleaded and unleaded at a BP was a 10p difference , but with optimax you get a free extra ron
and 3 extra ronnies over normal unleaded with optimax for an extra 1p well worth it and the best thing is the bike loves it
wonder what it will go like with ocatine boost thrown in with optimax

I have noticed recently that standard unleaded has crept up in price. Until the last 6 weeks or so, whereever I went Optimax was 79.9p a litre and standard unleaded varied between 73.9 and 75.9. However then I found a few stations had put an extra 1p on both making Optimax 80.9p a litre.
Even more recently I have noticed that those charging 80.9 are back to 79.9p and standard unleaded is now only 1 or 2p a litre cheaper.
Perhaps Shell reckon 80p a litre is where petrol protests will start again!
The Shell route planner/finder service was closed down at the end of January and as a alternative they suggest using Michelins www.viamichelin.com/.
Unfortunately it doesn't do Petrol stations!
