Help PC probs

Booted the pc up this morning and it done scandisc for some strange reason , shutdown perfectly lastnight , now when im on the interweb i cant open a new window to go snooping around whilst i keep PH open in another window , if i click file new then window instead of opening another window it replaces the one that im viewing it getting very bloody annoying and ive only been on for half an hour

It shouldn't make a difference, but if you're using IE, go to tools, internet options, then advanced tab. Look for "reuse windows for" (can't remember the proper name) and disable it. Can't see it making a difference, but you just never know with M$ products, assuming thats what you are using. Other than that, have you tried rebooting? Normally solves most of my behavioural problems, well not mine personally, the pc I have no behavoural problems, that I know of anyway.

If what Eli says doesnt work, try a quick scanreg /fix and see if that helps at all, sometimes the registry get its knickers in a twist.

Cheers ninja i think ive sorted it, reset everything in explorer , restart the PC no different , removed spystopper everything back to normal ????? another thing that happened was something called yahoo companion decided it would make a home for itself on my tool bar now gone , just run anti virus etc and nothing found , all a bit odd
